Plant Care
Zamioculcas zamiifolia
The ZZ Plant is a hardy, low-maintenance houseplant known for its glossy, deep green leaves and upright, architectural form. It’s incredibly tolerant of neglect, making it a go-to choice for beginners and busy plant owners alike. Its waxy, water-storing leaves help it survive in low-light and low-water environments. Whether in a dim office or a sunny corner, the ZZ Plant adds a sleek, modern vibe to any space.
Watering
Water when the top inch of soil feels dry. Allow the soil to dry out completely between waterings. ZZ Plants are drought-tolerant and very prone to overwatering.
Light
Tolerates low light but grows best in moderate to bright, indirect light. Avoid direct sun, which can scorch its leaves.
Fertilizer
Feed with a balanced, diluted liquid fertilizer once a month during the growing season (spring and summer). Do not fertilize in winter.
Temperature
Prefers temperatures between 65–80°F (18–27°C). Keep away from cold drafts and avoid temperatures below 60°F (15°C).
